UK: travel agent fired for cyberbullying
A 26 year old travel agent who posted angry comments about a co worker on Facebook was suspended from work and a few days later fired for cyberbullying, threatening behavior and breaching the company's internet policy. The travel agent wrote that she had "never been so angry" and wanted to "smack the brown-nosing cow in the face".
The company has a clear policy according to which employees should not post comments on internet sites which could be regarded as bullying, harassment or discrimination against company employees, clients or customers.
